Global Youth Network: First GYN Sessions Held in Kok-Chu CDP

A face-to-face preparatory session was held at A. Tokombaev School Complex in Kamyshanovka village, Kok-Chu Community Development Project (CDP), as part of the Global Youth Network (GYN) program. Students received orientation and preparation for upcoming exchange activities and actively participated in the first sessions of the program. During the meeting, participants introduced themselves, shared information about their schools and interests, and actively engaged in communication and experience-sharing activities.

Global Youth Network is an international program of Good Neighbors International that brings together children and young people from different countries to promote global citizenship, leadership, and social responsibility. The project aims to increase awareness of global challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while developing collaboration, communication, and active civic engagement skills among youth.

Participants will take part in a series of training sessions and practical activities designed to strengthen their understanding of global issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as to develop leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Through participation in the program, students are expected to expand their knowledge of global challenges, enhance their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, and become more active contributors to addressing issues within their communities.

Children talked briefly about their country, culture, and landmarks. Two more meetings are planned in this format to discuss the main topics - the climate crisis and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
